This type tap-changer adopts flexible steel wire cable as transmission component instead of rigid drive shaft. After the transformer is fully power-off, rotate the hand crank on tank cover to drive the reel, and the steel cable transmits rotary torque to the tap-changer core inside the tank. The moving contact disc rotates to connect different fixed tap contacts, changing the turns of high-voltage winding to adjust transformation ratio and secondary output voltage. Mechanical stop structure locks each tap position reliably. It is only applicable for off load voltage regulation of oil-immersed distribution transformers.
