The off-circuit tap-changer is changed over from one operating position to the next by rotating an insulating drive shaft. Off-circuit tap-changers can be operated with either a motor-drive unit or manual drive.

This series consists of off-circuit tap-changers for oil-immersed off-load voltage regulating transformers, adopting vertical and horizontal cage structures. The vertical type is further divided into four configurations: bell tank type, tank cover mounted type, standard type and American transformer cage type.

Based on differences in internal structure, the switching modes include linear voltage regulation, single-bridge jump tap, double-bridge jump tap, Y-Δ conversion, series-parallel conversion, and reversing voltage regulation.

These tap-changers are widely applicable to power, rectifier, furnace and other transformers with frequencies of 50 Hz and 60 Hz, rated voltages of 10 kV, 35 kV, 66 kV, 110 kV, and rated currents ranging from 125 A to 2000 A.
